Fruits Basket vol. 21

I know all of us aren't Fruits Basket readers, or may not have gotten through the volume yet, but I finally got it and read it last night, and I'm gonna treat this the same as the FMA post, and we can comment as we read. Also, just as a warning, and as an apology especially to the guys, there will probably be a lot of fangirling when anything to do with this series comes up. I'm one of the biggest Kyo fangirls on the planet. So sorry in advance, but hey, you were warned. On with the discussion!

release schedule update

I was browsing amazon this afternoon and realized that the next Fruits Basket volume is released today! Then I checked in on the Trinity Blood status. As some of you know from my crisis emails back in June, Tokyopop restructured and dropped a lot of titles (probably a good thing) and delayed several more. The Trinity novels status has been in limbo all this time. Amazon has updated the release dates for the novels and while it's still too early to know if these are accurate, my guess is they very well may be, which makes me happy. As much as I enjoy the anime, I recognize its flaws, so I've always wanted to see the story the way it was meant to be told via the light novels. Happiness.

FMA vol. 17 discussion start

Erm... well, I guess I won't post anything in the body here so as to avoid spoilers. But let's go ahead and do the discussion thing via the comments as you guys suggested. ...actually, I can't think of anything off the top of my head, so anyone is welcome to throw something out there. :p

My anime/manga purchases today

This probably won't be all that long of a post, but I thought I'd announce I picked up the second and third subbed volumes of Gurren Lagann today (so now I own that whole series), as well as Vol. 17 of the FMA manga. As far as GL goes at least, I had enjoyed the episodes I had seen on Sci Fi, but I kinda hadn't been following it much past the first few episodes, so when I have the time, I'll be happy to sit and watch it all the way through. On FMA, I'm not sure how many people own it and have read it just yet, but maybe someone could make a blog post so we can discuss it in the comments section to avoid spoilers for those who haven't, the way we were doing that Code Geass discussion further down.

Felt this was worth mentioning, since most of us in here watch. So glad they moved the premieres out of the graveyard and filled out the schedule with old favorite repeats, even if that means no repeats and a full two hours or whatever of comedy at the beginning. Anyway, here's the new schedule.

Just slow

I wanted to post a lovely blog like everyone else's listing the things I watched this year but haven't had the time to really think about it. I have a break from work coming up in about a week and a half so hopefully I can get my act together then. In the meantime it's fun to read everyone's posts.

Code Geass R2 - Turn 01 - The Day a Demon Awakens

Airing later tonight, and is already up on the Fix (Link). Figure we can try and get some discussion going, maybe? Or at least you can ask some questions if you got confused about it. Gonna try and make this a weekly thing. Would be nice to be able to discuss about Code Geass without the bloody fanboys at the ASMB as of late (I still miss the FMA discussions of old...).
